Do you guys believe this one to be authentic? It's a nice looking piece and I haven't known double sided signs to be repopped but would like your opinions. Thanks a bunch!

I noticed that as well. The only comparable item in his past auctions was a near mint 30" Indian gas dsp that did not bring what I thought an original should. And I thought it looked a little suspicious but being a less common sign, I wasn't sure. Any other input is appreciated! Thanks

I guess there are a few others in his past auctions that I didn't see before. His descriptions sound like he is trying VERY hard to convince you it is authentic! I would have to say they are probably fakes. Too bad!

My first impression is the "S" looks off to me....way too sloppy.

Don't go too much by what I say, but shouldn't there be a hole in the middle on both sides for mounting to the yoke of a curb sign stand? And color looks more Pumpkin shade than Phillips 66 Orange. JMO. Ed. wink

IMO it's a very nice repop just a couple of things that are off

I collect Phillips 66 and globes pumps & signs esp Iowa co.

I would say definitely a repop, for the reasons mentioned above, plus several others that I see.

$650 for a repop! I don't see the producers of these reproductions slowing down any time soon when they keep getting that kind of money! The worst part is there are a lot of buyers out there buying them as originals. Sad😔
